Description
The Dobson Pro brings historic banjo design into the modern era with refined craftsmanship and player-focused features. Built with a stained curly maple neck and rim and our new slotted headstock design, this model combines elegance, comfort, and projection in a lighter-weight package.
At the heart of this banjo is our Dobson tone ring, faithfully modeled after the original 1881 patent. Its unique bell-shaped profile delivers a sweet balance of warmth, sustain, and responsiveness—adding only 9 ounces to the total weight for a lively, resonant voice without excess heft. The result is a banjo that’s both powerful and lightweight, making it ideal for long sessions, stage performance, or everyday playing.
