Description

Built with a 12” cherry rim capped in walnut and matched to a cherry neck, this instrument has that dry, woody warmth cherry is known for, paired with the punch and sparkle of our Dobson tone ring. The result is a banjo that’s responsive and clear.

The short 25 1/2” scale makes it a joy to play. It’s relaxed under the fingers, and has that old-time feel that so many players fall in love with. We dressed it up with a persimmon fingerboard and added a straight scoop for clean, confident clawhammer playing.

This build features traditional dowel stick construction, a two-way adjustable truss rod, and our aged brass hardware paired with an 18-notch tension hoop for that classic, Pisgah look. A Renaissance head and traditional tailpiece round things out. You’ll also find spikes at the 7th and 9th frets, a cherry armrest, and smooth-turning Gotoh tuners.
