The 12″ Pisgah Possum is an old-time workhorse built for players who want warmth, clarity, and a deep connection to the materials under their hands. This banjo leans into Appalachian tradition while quietly pushing it forward through thoughtful wood choices and clean, honest construction.

The 12” cherry rim, capped in walnut, delivers a focused low end with plenty of air and depth. Paired with a persimmon tone ring, the sound is dry, woody, and articulate.

A cherry neck with a comfortable 25 1/2” short scale keeps things responsive and easy under the left hand. The persimmon fingerboard features our Straight Scoop, giving you plenty of room to dig in over the neck without sacrificing note clarity. Traditional dowel stick construction ties the whole instrument together, reinforcing the dry, open tone old-time players love.
